Every Family Goes Through Hard Seasons

If your child is struggling with big feelings, changes in behavior, or a difficult experience, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Young children often can’t explain what’s wrong, so it shows up in tantrums, sleep, school, or play instead.

Our child therapists help kids process what they’re going through in a safe, age-appropriate way through play, conversation, and connection, while keeping parents closely involved.

Signs your child may benefit from therapy:

What We Offer

Play Therapy

Age-appropriate, play-based sessions that help children express what they can’t yet put into words.

A gentle, paced approach for kids who’ve been through a difficult or overwhelming experience.

Individual Child Counseling

One-on-one sessions tailored to your child’s age, personality, and needs.

We work with you, not around you, with regular check-ins so you understand your child’s progress.

How Child Therapy Helps

Children communicate through play. In a play therapy session, toys, art, and stories become a way for your child to show what they’re feeling and practice new ways of coping without needing to find the “right” words.

What Child Therapy Can Help With

  • Anxiety, fears, and separation worries
  • Anger, tantrums, and emotional outbursts
  • Grief, divorce, and family changes
  • Trauma and frightening experiences
  • Social struggles and low self-esteem

A Depth-Oriented Approach

We use a psychodynamic lens that helps children understand and express their feelings, not just manage symptoms. As kids feel understood, behavior often settles too.

Parents Are Part of the Process

We meet with parents at the start and check in regularly, sharing insights and practical ideas you can use at home. When family patterns are part of the picture, family therapy can help too. As kids grow, we also offer teen therapy.

Our office at 25900 Dequindre Rd. in Warren is an easy drive from Madison Heights, Hazel Park, Sterling Heights, Roseville, Eastpointe, St. Clair Shores, and Fraser. Virtual sessions are available anywhere in Michigan.

If you or someone you love is in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 right away.
